The Baristro At Train Station delivers quality coffee in a spacious, industrial-style setting, just a stone’s throw away from Chiang Mai Railway Station. Opened in 2019 and connected to AT THE TRAIN HOTEL, it’s part of the popular Baristro chain, a speciality coffee-roasting brand rooted in Chiang Mai.

Industrial Chic meets Railway Charm at Baristro At Train Station
The Baristro At Train Station’s cavernous space blends industrial, minimalist loft vibes with railway-themed charm. It’s a long and narrow interior, reminiscent of a train carriage, with quirky details like vintage train station-style “Welcome” and “Restroom” signs, and hanging station clocks. The design features raw concrete walls, ceilings, and floors, complemented by bold black accents from the furniture, window frames, and structural steel girders, creating a striking modern look. Even the oversized industrial aircon units make a statement looking stylish in black. Softening the industrial vibe, a lush screen of bamboo and a solitary tree growing outside the windows add a welcome touch of greenery and a calming, exotic feel.

At one end of the expansive factory-like interior stands the barista bar, a sleek workstation area with a stainless steel countertop wrapping around a central island with espresso machine and coffee grinders. At one end, the slow bar caters to coffee enthusiasts, complete with high chair seating. Overhead, exposed ceiling pipes add to the industrial charm, while strategically placed spotlights throughout the space create a gallery-like feel.

Seating is plentiful and predominantly black, including padded concrete bench seats, padded metal stools and chairs paired with metal tables, and raw concrete seats matched with concrete tables. Against the end wall, a large wooden-top coworking table provides the perfect setup for group sessions.
Outside at the front you’ll find more concrete seating, set around a playful stretch of railway track leading to the front entrance.

All Aboard for Signature Drinks, Slow Bar Coffee, and Sweet Indulgences
The Baristro at Train Station’s drinks menu is typically extensive, with hot espresso-based coffees, refreshing iced coffee, and a range of signature creations. For coffee connoisseurs, the dedicated Slow Bar offers single-origin beans, signature blends, and a variety of options from Central and South America, Africa, and local Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai beans. Cold Brew is also available. Non-coffee options include rich Matcha, traditional Thai Tea, and an array of flavourful teas, sodas, and fresh fruit juices.

Beyond the Beans
For those looking for a bite to eat, the menu includes the typical Baristro light brunch offerings alongside a tempting variety of sweet treats from the dessert menu and cake display.
