LOT (Lot of Taste) is a relative newcomer to the Nimman coffee scene. Opening late 2022, it has quickly become a popular destination for coffee connoisseurs and coffee shop enthusiasts. Its prime location on the busy Nimmanhaemin Road attracts both passersby and returning regulars, ensuring a bustling atmosphere throughout the day.
Lot Of Taste: Where Coffee Meets Cool
Stepping through the automatic sliding glass door at LOT, you’re greeted by a spacious interior with a modern industrial vibe. On your left, you’ll find the chic barista counter, featuring a stylish blend of wood and glass. A sleek ‘Spirit’ state-of-the-art espresso machine takes centre stage on the counter.
Floor-to-ceiling windows at the front of the coffee shop flood the space with natural light, while strategically placed exotic flowers provide a splash of colour against the whitewashed walls and exposed concrete-beamed ceiling.
The space features several small, round-top metal tables with just enough room for a laptop and a drink. Some are larger, but the standout is a spacious wooden communal table, perfect for co-working and group gatherings… and for those who simply need more space to work on their laptop!
Exposed stairs at the back lead to a private area upstairs, while a gleaming Probat coffee roaster on display in the corner adds a touch of vintage style—a fascinating exhibit for coffee enthusiasts. With mellow R&B music playing from a retro Marantz Hi-Fi, LOT exudes a friendly, warm, and relaxed vibe.
Outside, more round-top tables await, offering additional seating. A solitary tree, rising through a square opening in the roof, serves as a striking focal point, adding a touch of greenery to the industrial setting. LOT’s outside seating area is right on the road, so if you don’t mind the traffic, it’s a great spot to sit back and watch the world go by.
Craft Coffee, Cool Sips, and Delightful Eats at LOT
Coffee wise, take your pick from a selection of roasts and strengths, featuring both local and international beans. Whether you prefer classic black or milk-based espresso, LOT has you covered. Don’t miss their signature specials, which include indulgent whipped cream and ice cream creations, highlighted by their Italian Affogato. And for those who like it chilled, Cold Brew is also available.
Their non-Coffee menu features a variety of hot and iced options, including Herbal Teas, Fruit Teas, and Matcha Green Tea. For something cooler, they offer a refreshing selection of Sodas, Shakes, Smoothies, and Coconut Juice. You’ll also find free drinking water on a tray opposite the barista counter.
LOT also offers a small menu of breakfast and light lunch options. These include healthy Greek Yoghurt dishes like their Fruit Bowl and Fruit Toast, along with a selection of Toasted Sandwiches and Croissants with various fillings. For dessert, you can choose from indulgent treats such as New York Cheesecake, Chocolate Cake, and Muffins.

A Quick Stop for Coffee Lovers
Lot Of Taste is great for grabbing a quick bite or quality brew. However, the limited comfortable seating and mostly small tables don’t encourage you to linger. The large table is better for laptop users but the lack of power points discourages longer stays.
