The Salad Concept was founded by two sisters inspired by their father’s battle with colon cancer. Before undergoing conventional treatments, their father strengthened his immunity by following a strict organic, fresh food diet. This experience emphasised the importance of healthy eating for the family, motivating the sisters to open a restaurant that serves nutritious, organic salads and homemade dressings at an affordable price. What began in 2009 as a small, 8-table venture has since evolved into The Salad Concept, meeting Chiang Mai’s rising demand for wholesome, quality food.

A Bright, Airy Escape: Healthy Eating in a Modern Setting
The Salad Concept’s interior is bright and airy, with comfortable seating and plenty of natural light. Vibrant touches of greenery from hanging plants reflect the fresh, wholesome theme of the restaurant. There are two entrances: the front entrance on Nimmanhaemin Road and a second side entrance off Nimman Soi 11, accessible through a small gravel parking area.

The main seating area is centred around a large salad counter, where an array of fresh ingredients is on display and staff work busily preparing salads and other dishes throughout the day. At the front, tables by the window offer a view of the bustling Nimmanhaemin Road, while along the side, additional bench seating provides an alternative window-side option. In the back, more seating is available, including a cosy bench along the rear wall.
The adjacent conservatory-style space, just off the side entrance, invites even more natural light and a relaxed vibe, accented by pot plants and real trees stretching up through the roof. - Add up to 5 free toppings.
- Choose any extra toppings.
- Pick a dressing—each one an inventive, fresh-made blend.

If creating your own salad isn’t your thing, their special menu offers plenty of set options. Featuring inventive creations like the Mango Salad Cha Cha Cha, Northern Thai Style Salad, and Salmon Sashimi Whole Wheat Pasta Salad—all loaded with fresh, locally sourced vegetables and quality proteins.
