Yesterday Cafe, nestled in the heart of Chiang Mai’s hipster Nimmanhaemin neighborhood, is a stylish and inviting space that blends industrial-loft vibes with rustic, vintage charm. It’s part of Yesterday Hotel, a boutique property with Thai and colonial influences. The cafe offers a contemporary frontage for the hotel, which is tucked away behind down an alley.
From the street, Yesterday Cafe might seem small. But step inside, and you’ll find a generous seating area that extends beyond the bar and down alongside the hotel alleyway.

Industrial Chic Meets Comfort at Yesterday Cafe
Upon entering, you’re greeted by a captivating mix of exposed concrete walls adorned with old newspapers on poles, juxtaposed against soft brown leather bench seats, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The hanging faded tabloids add a touch of nostalgia, perfectly capturing the cafe’s Yesterday theme. While coffee beans from around the world, elegantly displayed in rows of antique amber glass bottles, add to the eclectic charm and highlight the cafe’s specialty.

By day, natural light streams through the floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere perfect for working or relaxing with a coffee. On the other side of the alley, open booths offer an outdoorsy feel, evoking the charm of a French bistro with semi-alfresco dining along the hotel’s quaint alleyway.

There’s outdoor seating at the front too, right on Nimman’s busy main road. Perfect for a spot of people watching.
Yesterday Cafe: A Coffee Lover’s Haven
Coffee aficionados are well catered for at Yesterday Cafe with a varied menu featuring pour-over and espresso brewing methods. Keep it simple with the house blend or, for an extra fee, select from a variety of Chiang Rai blends or imported single-origin beans. Speciality coffee offerings include the refreshing Iced Coconut Espresso and the indulgent Salted Caramel Latte. Bottled cold brew is also available.

Non-coffee options include refreshing lemonades, classic sodas, Thai milk tea, hot cocoa, and a selection of traditional teas.
All-Day Brunch
While coffee takes centre stage, Yesterday Cafe offers an eclectic all-day brunch menu featuring dishes like homemade rice porridge with pork spare ribs, omelette with German sausage, grilled pork loin or chicken with rice, sukiyaki, pasta, bagels, plus French fries and sun-dried pork snacks. Cakes and pastries are also available.

Late Coffee Fix
In the evenings, Yesterday Cafe transforms into a relaxed bar with a selection of craft beers. But coffee purists need not worry, the slow bar and espresso machine stay open late to satisfy your caffeine cravings.
