Step through the white gateposts at Goodneighbor Cafe—guarded by a miniature pair of sculpted Singha lions—and you enter into a welcoming, peaceful courtyard tucked just off the street in leafy Jed Yod, Chiang Mai. To your right, the cafe’s modest white building houses a compact yet inviting indoor space, while the outdoor seating is shared with a private residence: a beautifully restored Thai-style wooden house at the back. A member of staff will often meet you at the cafe door to ask your preference—inside or out.

Quiet Comfort Indoors at Goodneighbor
Opt for the air-conditioned indoor space and you’ll find a pared-back room with geometric monochrome floor tiles, warm wooden furniture, and soft daylight streaming through wide black-framed windows. Greenery frames the view outside, while inside, an exotic potted plant and a scattering of woven chairs brings the calm, botanical feel indoors. A green cushioned bench runs along one wall, and at the back, a neat counter with coffee machine and cafe essentials completes the space. Staff take your order at the table, with payment made at the counter after your meal.

Al Fresco Charm with Thai Accents
The outdoor area at Goodneighbor Cafe is a calm, leafy retreat surrounded by lush tropical greenery and shaded by a large parasol and awning. Seating is varied and relaxed, with glass-topped tables paired with metal-framed outdoor chairs, while khaki camping-style chairs and a folding table contribute to the laid-back charm. Patterned tiles beneath the covered patio of the traditional home bring a vintage flair, contrasting with the sleek grey stone of the open-air section. In one corner of the courtyard, a beautifully crafted Thai-style wooden pavilion offers an additional indoor dining space, for groups of 5–6 people.

All-Day Goodness, From Bowls to Breakfast Sets
Goodneighbor Cafe serves up a well-balanced mix of wholesome, feel-good dishes with a strong lean toward fresh, plant-based ingredients. Vegan Smoothie Bowls are a big feature, made with homemade vegan granola—like the Peanut Butter Bomb with cacao nibs and banana, or the vibrant Acai Bowl with 100% organic acai powder and mixed berries. You’ll also find protein-packed versions, homemade Vegan Chia Puddings, Yoghourt Bowls, French Toast (both sweet and savoury), and filling breakfast sets like the Breakfast Almighty with eggs, toast, avocado and your choice of extras. Salads and Open-Faced Sandwiches are also available.

The bagels, however, are a standout—choose between the classic ‘Original’ or the satisfyingly chewy ‘Everything’ (or opt for a Baguette instead), then build your meal from a long list of well-crafted combinations. Highlights include the Beast Boy with bacon, scrambled eggs, cheddar and pesto; the Red Robin with sundried tomato, avocado and scrambled egg; and a whole section dedicated to smoked salmon—from the classic Salmon Cream Cheese to the more loaded Salmon Veggie. Whether you’re after something light, indulgent, or somewhere in between, Goodneighbor offers plenty to keep you coming back.
For something sweet, they also serve a range of healthy, sugar-free cakes and desserts—made with premium ingredients and sweetened only with monk fruit or xylitol.

From First Officer Brews to Nectar Smoothies
To go with the wholesome food menu, Goodneighbor offers a thoughtfully curated drinks selection. Their coffee is crafted in collaboration with First Officer Coffee Roasters, featuring both light and medium-dark house blends. Whether you prefer it black or with milk, there’s plenty to choose from—from classic Espressos and Lattes to creative options like Black Orange, Yuzu Cold Brew, and the indulgent Tiramisu Cloud. They even offer Es Yen; Thai-style iced coffee with sweetened condensed milk. Alternative milks are available too, including almond, soy, oat, and coconut.

For non-coffee drinkers, there’s an excellent range of premium teas, matcha lattes, herbal infusions, craft sodas, and organic kombucha in unique flavours like local Herbs with Lime, and Tamarind.
You’ll also find 100% pure fruit smoothies with no added sugar, served under Nectar—a sub-brand of Goodneighbor focused on clean, naturally sweet refreshment.
